LeAnn Rimes Divorce: Dean Sheremet Says LeAnn Rimes Told Him About Eddie Cibrian Affair Before It Broke, Still Didn’t See It Coming

Dean Sheremet, LeAnn Rimes' ex-husband, knew about the country singer's affair with Eddie Cibrian before it broke on the news, but LeAnn Rimes' ex-husband says he didn't see affair coming.

LeAnn Rimes' ex-husband Dean Sheremet says he has nothing but love for LeAnn Rimes, but the two don't talk anymore. LeAnn Rimes and Dean Sheremet were married for eight years. After the divorce, LeAnn Rimes married Cibrian.  Sheremet is now married to the photographer Sarah Silver.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, celebrity chef Dean Sheremet, LeAnn Rimes' ex-husband, said he was shocked when he learned of her affair with Eddie Cibrian and that he "never saw it coming."

Sheremet said LeAnn Rimes told him about the affair before he could learn about it in the news. Sheremet said "I had a call ... from LeAnn. She said, 'Well, Us Weekly may or may not have a picture of me and Eddie kissing.' I'm like, 'Whoa! What do you mean may or may not have a picture? What does that mean?' So, then it was a whole, yeah, it unfolded from there."

Dean Sheremet told Access Hollywood's told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover "The affair was, I mean, of all the things that I could have ever imagined would have happened, I never would have thought. I guess you have that assumption that the person that you're with would never do something like that. How close we were, I just never saw it coming. If anyone would have seen it, I thought that I would have."

While Sheremet has no bad feelings toward LeAnn Rimes, he says they don't talk much now. "I have nothing but love for her, and I really wish her the best. But we don't really talk that much. There's not really a need to. I don't really know what we would talk about."

Dean said "I don't know [if I] dodged a bullet... every relationship you learn from. I think that was my learning experience of what I needed to do to pick myself up and kind of do what I needed to do. It's hard to delineate where I stopped and LeAnn began. We were so intertwined, I was husband, I was father, I was manager. There were so many different roles and it was hard to juggle all of those things, when you just want to be in love with someone."
