Pokemon X And Y Walkthrough: New Abilities, Altered Abilites, And New Evolution Methods

Pokemon X and Y are officially out, and some walkthrough updates have surfaced regarding abilities and evolution methods.

Firstly, a slew of new abilities have been introduced in X and Y, and they include the ones below:

Aerilate: Normal-type moves become Flying-type moves.
Aura Break: The effects of Aura Abilities are reversed
Cheek Pouch: When the Pokemon consumes a Berry, the Pokemon's HP will increase in addition to the Berry's effect.
Competitive: Boosts Sp. Attack when a stat is lowered.
Dark Aura: Increases the power of all Dark-type moves in battle.
Fairy Aura: Increases the power of all Fairy-type moves in battle.
Flower Veil: Prevents lowering of ally Grass-type Pokemon's stats.
Fur Coat: Halves the damage done to the Pokemon by physical attacks.
Gale Wings: Gives priority to Flying-type moves.
Gooey: Contact with Pokemon lowers the attacker's Speed.
Mega Launcher: Boosts the power of pulse moves such as Water Pulse and Dark Pulse.
Parental Bond: Allows for the Pokemon to hit twice with the same move in one turn.
Pixilate: Normal-type moves become Fairy-type moves.
Protean: Changes the Pokemon's type to match the move it just used.
Refrigerate: Turns any Normal-type moves known by the Pokemon into Ice-type moves.
Stance Change: The Pokemon changes form depending on how it battles.
Strong Jaw: Increases the power of attacks such as Bite and Crunch.
Sweet Veil: Prevents Pokemon on your team in Double/Triple battles to be able to be put to sleep.
Tough Claws: Powers up moves that make direct contact.

In addition, a recent walkthrough update by Serebii shows that several old abilities have been altered.

Drizzle: The Pokemon makes it rain when it enters battle. Now only lasts 5 turns.
Drought: Turns the sunlight harsh when the Pokemon enters a battle. Now only lasts 5 turns.
Overcoat: Protects the Pokemon from things like sand, hail, and powder. Also now protects from Sleep Powder, Poison Powder etc.
Sand Stream: The Pokemon summons a sandstorm. Now lasts 5 turns.
Snow Warning: The Pokemon summon a hailstorm. Now lasts 5 turns.

And lastly, several walkthrough updates have surfaced regarding new evolution methods in Pokemon X and Y.

Pancham: Level 32 with a Dark-type in party.
Inkay: Level 30, rotate the 3DS upside-down upon leveling up.
Tyrunt: Level 39 at Daytime.
Amaura: Level 39 at Night.
Eevee (to Sylveon): Level up with a Fairy-type move + Bond in Pokemon Amie.
Sliggoo: Level 55 when raining.
