Cristy Nicole Deweese caused quite a stir on the World Wide Web after her career as Playboy Playmate was discovered, which enraged a few parents in Dallas.

The Dallas Morning News, in its news report dated October 8, 2013 reported the matter and within hours everybody was talking about it.

The issue developed a completely new dimension that entitled people to deliver judgment on Cristy Nicole’s morality, character and whether she should continue teaching Spanish at Townview Magnet High School in Dallas.

The matter hasn’t generated this great a controversy in Dallas.

“Funny, I live in Dallas where this teacher works. No one here seems to care, how did it make the global news? It's not even getting more than a 15 second mention on our local news. There are maybe 5 or 6 uptight parents who care, that's all,” commented a reader on DailyMail’s coverage on topic.

On the same coverage, majority of those the comments said that her past as a Playboy playmate has nothing to do with her teaching abilities.

“Her being a Playboy model has nothing to do with how well she does her job. I don't see a problem with it,” commented a St. Louis resident.
Her students took to Twitter to defend her , the same day the subject started gaining momentum.

This does not mean the online community has no reservations against Cristy Nicole teaching 15-16 year old high school kids.

A regular HuffPost reader, Audra Norris stated her concern as follows, “With the amount of sexual misconduct between students and teachers vein presented in the news, of course parents are concerned. Not saying she would engage in such behavior, but it worries parents when a teacher puts it out to be seen as over sexual by agreeing to pose nude for millions. They are paid by us to teach our children.”

However, the majority of the people out there support her, saying that what she did in the past was her personal matter. The school authorities and education boards in Dallas have not commented on the matter.
