Adele may have been relatively quiet since her "21" release, but her new album is well into production.

According to NME, Adele is currently working on her new album, which includes collaborations with James Ford, Kit Harpoon, and Ryan Tedder.

"Adele wants to move with the times and is trying to make her new record sound as edgy as possible," says a source to The Sun.

"The team she's assembled is first rate and she's confident they can help match the success of her first two albums. It's no easy task as the world will be desperate to hear it."

And one producer who is singing her praises is Ryan Tedder.

"Adele sounds even better than before. I love where she's at. She's still my favorite artist in the world," says Tedder regarding her new album progress to Perez Hilton.

"I would press pause on my entire life if it meant I could go into the studio for a month straight with her."

And while fans are hoping that Adele will complete her new album before 2013, the current prediction is that hew new album will not release until mid-2014.

And her label XL Recordings is trying to buckle down the company's future with more hits post-"21."

According to Telegraph, the label made a record £111.7m following Adele's release, but wants to create more hits so it is not solely dependent on one artist.
