However, the Atkins diet is controversial-and some are worried that Kim isn't safe.

After giving birth to North West in June, speculation has been swirling about how Kim will lose her post-baby weight.

Kim lost a lot of weight fast-and she's revealed her diet secret on Twitter.

Kim responded to a fan on October 13 who asked her how she's lost so much weight after giving birth:

The Atkins Diet is a very low-carb diet. The diet reduces carbs in four phases, gradually reintroducing small amounts. Critics of the Atkins Diet say that the lack of carbs can be harmful to insulin levels and dangerous for the body.

Atkins results in ketosis, which is related to a buildup of ketones in the body. High fat levels from long-term Atkins can also clog arteries-which may be why its founder, Richard Atkins, died of a heart attack.

US Weekly reported, "In August, Kim got frustrated because she hit a plateau, even though she was eating mostly proteins and veggies. Kim eliminated carbs completely. She's working out here and there, but it's mainly about the food, Atkins-style."
