Android 4.4 KitKat release date rumors suggest that the newest Google mobile OS is set to arrive as early as tomorrow, October 15.

According to Christian Post, a rumor that originated from Google Launchpad, an event hosted by the internet giant for start-ups, claimed that Android 4.4 KitKat release date is scheduled for October 15. Furthermore, this alleged Android 4.4 KitKat release date will coincide with the launching of the upcoming generation of Google smartphone, the Nexus 5.

One reason that Android 4.4 KitKat release date may happen tomorrow is that the Nexus 5 predecessor, the Nexus 4, as well as the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, arrived almost this same time last year.

Citing Android Police, the Android 4.4 KitKat will feature a new and updated Downloads user interface. From Holo Dark theme, the new screen will use Holo Light, and the app will get a cleaner icon. Furthermore, a 'proper action bar' will be added, alongside a Sort button, a feature that allows "a jump from the bottom of the screen to the top."

Meanwhile, Nexus 5 smartphone is rumored to have specs such as Adreno 330 Graphics, which brings a much-improved gameplay and HD video. It will also be equipped with 2448 x 3246 display resolution and 8 MP rear camera. Nexus 5 will also have upgraded camera features such as continuous focus, updated color effects, which include 'whiteboard' and 'blackboard.'

Furthermore, Nexus 5 is believed to have 16 GB and 32 GB storage options, with the 16GB version to have available space of 12.55 GB.

Although, Google is not yet making any confirmation regarding Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 Kitkat release date, but it is most likely that the launch of the new smartphone and software is already in the horizon. And If Android 4.4 KitKat release date rumors are true, then, tech fans will be able to experience the OS and see the new smartphone as soon as tomorrow, October 15.
