Eminem's Career Dead With 2013 Rap God Single And Its Awful Twitter Welcome?

Eminem's 2013 album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 is not due to be released until the first week November this year. The rapper went ahead and released a single from the LP though called "Rap God" today. Is Eminem truly a rap god or is he dead in the eyes of both critics and fans?

So far the reaction from Twitter and music blogs haven't exactly been welcoming. Is Eminem's career dead now? He used to enjoy plenty of commercial and critical acclaim.

Eminem was called the King of Hip Hop by Rolling Stones magazine several years go. Now in his new rap single he declares himself a rap god. From the looks of social media reactions, he is anything but.

Fellow rapper Otto Von Biz Markie had this to say about the single on his Twitter account @Passionweiss, "This Eminem song is pretty cool, I guess, if you're looking for music to shoot puppies to."

Another Twitter account, @Deen8 ran by Mobbdeen, blasted whoever would love this song by tweeting,"If you like this Eminem song you probably steal lunch outta the communal work fridge."

Born in 1972, the world-famous rapper's real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III. He is not only a rapper but a record producer, actor and songwriter as well. Also known as Slim Shady, the musician is one of the globe's best-selling artists with Rolling Stones calling him one of the the top 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.

His albums have sold over 100 million copies worldwide while sales of his singles reached the 120 million mark.
