Top Android Phones 2013: Sony Rolls Out Firmware Update A Month After Launch

Most Android OEMs are known for being slow in rolling out firmware upgrades and new versions of Android. Apparently, Sony does not want to join the bandwagon. As the manufacturer of some of the top Android phones in 2013, the Japanese company has already released a firmware upgrade to improve the performance of its two latest devices.

Sony Mobile has announced today that it has already released a new firmware upgrade and users may already update their devices through over-the-air (OTA) updating.

According to the report by GSM Arena, the new update will feature enhanced camera features, which would specifically make improvements on the Xperia Z1's Burst Mode, Superior Auto, AR Effect, and Sweep Panorama options.

On the other hand, the Xperia Z Ultra will get enhanced touchscreen sensitivity with both fingers and stylii usage.

On both devices, the firmware upgrade will allow for better battery, display, and connection features.

The update is certainly a move forward for Sony in order to establish its reputation as a customer-oriented manufacturer.
