Upcoming Android Phones 2014: HTC Reportedly Working With Amazon For New Smartphone

HTC is known for launching phones which have premium build and design, but lately that specialty is not doing the manufacturer any good as sales continue to slide down. In a recent report, it looks like the Tawainese manufacturer is working with retail giant Amazon in building an Android phone. For people on the lookout for upcoming Android phones in 2014, this device might be worth the wait.

According to a report by the Financial Times, the two companies are working not on one, but three devices, which are expected to be unveiled next year.

However, both companies refused to directly confirm or deny the alleged project. According to HTC's chief marketing officer Ben Ho, the company is 'always exploring new opportunities' which may support the rumor because the company bady needs a helping hand in order to bounce back in the market.

Meanwhile, Amazon previously mentioned that it has no plans of releasing a new device for this year, which could meant the rumored HTC-Amazon smartphone may arrive early or mid-next year. Amazon has been doing well with its Kindle lineup of tablets, but a partnership with HTC may eventually deliver a larger market share.
