A Katy Perry John Mayer wedding could be in the works, according to sources.

Katy Perry and boyfriend John Mayer attended his brother's wedding in New York this weekend, and according to the Daily Mail, one of the musician's friends said that a wedding could be in the works for them: "Everyone knows it's just a question of when John will propose."

Katy Perry and John Mayer had a lot of fun at his brother's wedding, and apparently Katy was popping Cristal at the afterparty!

However, according to a source for Popcrush, John Mayer already proposed a wedding to Katy Perry - and she turned him down!  Katy Perry recently turned down boyfriend John Mayer's marriage proposal because she "doesn't feel ready":  "John's proposal really unnerved Katy.  Even though they have discussed it, she thought it was too soon. John was gutted."

The source continued, "Katy loves John, but doesn't feel she has had enough healing time since her divorce. She told him she just needed a bit more time to feel whole in herself again."

But there's no reason to give up hope for a Katy Perry John Mayer wedding yet - it seems like the couple are very in love: "They Skype and text all day,' an insider told Us Weekly. 'John always checks in before bed!"

Katy Perry recently shared her feelings for boyfriend John Mayer in an interview with Billboard magazine, calling him a "genius":"He literally is a genius, as is evident from his songwriting.
