MacBook Pro Retina Display 2013 Release Date: New Apple Laptop Will Be Center Of Attraction At October 22 Event, ‘We Still Have A Lot To Cover’

MacBook Pro Retina Display 2013 release date: The date is finally pegged and it seems that what everybody is waiting is finally here. Although it wasn’t mentioned at one of the most credible leaks about Apple’s October 22 launch event, which was first confirmed by AllThingsD, it looks like the new laptop by the Cupertino tech giant is getting a good amount of attention,

According to Tech Crunch, the Apple event will take place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Franisco and will have a 10 AM PDT kick-off time. The only hint that Apple gave from the invitation is, “We still have a lot to cover.” As the Tech Crunch noted, the implication is that the company will be showcasing a variety of things at once.

If the rumors are true, the event will be featuring the new Haswell-powered Retina MacBook Pros with better battery life as well as the iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2. The availability date of the already-announced OS X Mavericks and Mac Pro is also expected to be unveiled at the Oct. 22 event.

According to the International Business Times, the 2013 MacBook Air boasts more than 12 hours of battery life with the new chipset. If the same new battery life is applied to the MacBook Pro, which will possess the same Haswell powered chipset its Air counterpart has, we are expecting a jump from its current seven hours of battery life to 12 hours. This means that MacBook Pro users can now expect a full day of work without needing to charge their Apple laptop.

Another rumored spec for the new MacBook Pros is faster wi-fi. MacBook Air offered 802.11ac WiFI, which basically means faster connectivity. If the same WiFi configuration comes to the new MacBook Pros, we will only see faster connectivity and better online performance for the flagship laptop.

French website MacG claims that the new MacBook Pros will go on sale shortly after the October 22 announcement, around October 24 or 25. The OS X Mavericks is expected to ship in time for new MacBook Pros to hit store shelves. It’s unconfirmed if the upcoming latest line of Apple laptops will have OS X Mavericks out of the box.
