Apple October 2013 Event Confirmed -- New Tablets Coming Our Way?

Apple Inc. yesterday announced and confirmed an Apple October 2013 event in San Francisco. The company sent invites to luck journalists to cover and be at the event on October 22.

Apple recently released a new generation of iPhones and the new operating system for their gadgets, iOS 7. This time it won’t be about the phones. Rumors spread about a possible new generation of iPads, the OS X Mavericks, probably a new line of Mac books and the previously announced Mac pro.

OS X Mavericks was previously announced for a fall release, the reason why critics are expecting this. In line with this, the Mac pro which was shown during the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference last June is set to be released in this event, as rumors say. This Apple desktop computer features a compact tube shaped body which is said to be more powerful than the previous desktop models.

Another product expected to be revealed is the new line of iPads. The new tablets are believed to be slimmer and have a smaller body compared to the previous generation. Also expected to be announced is the iPad mini 2 that will feature a retina display which is missing but was expected on the first release.

As previously seen in the new generation of iPhone, the 5S, touch ID fingerprint scanner is expected to be installed in the new iPads. If the rumors are right, new colors for the new tablets are expected as well. IPad may come in gold, space gray and the traditional silver color.

Apple released a banner alongside their announcement with the words saying “We still have a lot to cover” in the photo. The teaser banner was also posted on their official twitter account [see pics below]. A new Microsoft product arrival is also set on the 22nd, plus a Nokia event that is set to release six new devices including a new tablet.
