Serena Williams Boyfriend 2013: Patrick Mouratoglou’s Love Helps Tennis Career? Analyst Suggests American Tennis Star’s Performance Boosted By Coach, Rumored Boyfriend

Serena Williams has received a lot of attention for her successful performance in Istanbul, but one analyst suggests the impetus behind her improved tennis career is her coach and rumored boyfriend Patrick Mouratoglou.

"It was clear that the new bloom had plenty to do with the chemistry between Serena and Patrick, who was helping the American regain her intensity both on and off the court. Even though there hasn't been any formal confirmation about the relationship, the two were pictured holding hands last September and rumors swirled about a growing romance," SportsKeeda.com writes.

"In working together with Mouratoglou, Serena found peace within and rediscovered the hunger to do well on court. She has been able to channel the positive energy from being content to once again dominate the tour like she had at the height of her powers. But in order to do so, Serena had to work on the court to refine and retune her already impressive repertoire."

Patrick Mouratoglou told the New York Times in a recent interview that she "still has a margin for improvement that is enormous," giving insight into his longtime commitment to her career.

The French tennis legend also mentioned that Serena Williams is one of the best tennis players he has coached.

"Serena will never drop her guard. She will stop perhaps, but she won't drop her guard. She won't be 50th in the world, that's for sure. She wouldn't accept it from herself. It's not the style of the maison," he told the New York Times.

"It can't hurt, that's for sure. For sure it helps. She told me all the trophies we win when we work together we'll put them in the academy. They are in the entry. We reorganized. We made a big room like a players' lounge in the entry with the bar and put a trophy case there, which is already full."
