Samsung Galaxy S3 Update: U.S. Cellular Confirms New Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Update Coming To Device, No Specific Update Provided

Samsung Galaxy S3 update is finally on its way to its U.S. users. After months of constant frustration and disappointment, at least one U.S. carrier confirmed that Android 4.3 Jelly Bea would indeed be rolled out to user in the “coming weeks.”

After a leaked schedule shown by Gotta Be Mobile that U.S. carriers Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile will have the Android 4.3 rollout by late November, U.S. Cellular, America’s fifth largest carrier, confirmed with GBM Monday that it will also be rolling out Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update to its Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 line in the “coming weeks.”

Though the wait is seemingly for eternity, glimmer of hope has been found, especially when Samsung confirmed during the IFA Consumer Electronics Show in Berlin that both the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy S4, and it’s high-end phablet, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will be getting an update.

According to Gotta Be Mobile, though the update was not specified, it was obvious that it was the Android 4.3, which was only confirmed further by the arrival of the update for Samsung Galaxy S4 users in selected markets worldwide.

U.S. Cellular’s confirmation of the arriving update is also a sign that the carrier is working hard to deliver the update so that it can better promoe the Galaxy Gear during the holidays, noted GBM. The mobile industry-focused blog noted that the rollout should be close.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 update to Android 4.3 brings a number of features to the device which many of the handset’s users has been waiting for.
