Apple iWatch Release Date Rumors: LG To Sign A Deal With The iPhone Maker To Supply Displays For Its Highly-Rumored iOS Smartwatch?

Although Samsung's smartwatch, the Galaxy Gear has already been launched, the Cupertino-based tech company's highly-rumored smartwatch is still in gray area as the iWatch release date persists to be a mystery for the tech fans.

The tech firm has not revealed anything about the Apple iWatch release date during its launch events for its latest iPhone and iPad, but speculations about the new gadget still circulate online. Most recently, rumors about Apple iWatch release date intensified even more as new reports popped up online.

Accordingly, Apple will be giving a contract to at least one company to supply the displays for the iWatch. As posted on CNET, "LG Display is close to signing a deal with Apple to provide flexible organic light-emitting diode panels (OLED) for its iWatch smartwatch." The news was originally posted on Korea Herald, who cited sources claiming to know about the negotiations.

But according to these Apple iWatch release date rumors, LG Display will be the secondary supplier, because RiTDisplay, a company based in Taiwan, is the first choice of the iPhone maker.
