‘Man of Steel 2’ – Batman Vs Superman Is No Contest! Ben Affleck Reluctant For Role As [VIDEO] Spoof Describes Dark Knight As ‘Rich And Nuts’

 A video spoof from College Humor featuring comedian Pete Holmes discusses both heroes' respective issues. Meanwhile, Ben Affleck admits he wasn't really jumping up and down over the Batman role.

He took on the wrath of the internet for it, yet he was initially reluctant. Ben Affleck confesses that Batman wasn't exactly the role that he was anticipating for himself. We feel you, Ben!

In an interview with Al Norton of 411Mania.com, the "Argo" director explains: "Initially I was reluctant as I felt I didn't fit the traditional mold but once Zack showed me the concept, and that it would be both different from the great movies that Chris and Christian made but still in keeping with tradition I was excited. Doing something different and new is always tricky and part of the thrill and the risk is that initially it confounds expectations. The truth is, it's the movie and the execution of it is what all the actors depend on and I believe in Zack's vision."

Not so far from the critics' opinions during the initial backlash. Affleck is not as dense as we thought he was. Perhaps he really did think this over.

Another question from the same interview touched on the angle of Batman being 'tired and seasoned.' Was this something that appealed to his tastes: Yes, Kevin(Tsujihara, Warner CEO) described it aptly. I don't want to go further because I want to be able to capitalize on what is new about this iteration by having it be a surprise to the audience."

He was also asked about who was his favorite Batman. Ben releases his bid for diplomatic answer of the year: "It has been done very well many times before."

Meanwhile, College Humor's Pete Holmes give a hilarious but honest twist to the Batman Versus Superman conversation. Why is it even a question? Batman's adversary was Bane, who's nothing more than a "..'roided out jock with a gasmask, and he straight up broke my back." Talking to Superman: "You could have taken him down with one hand. And with the other hand, you could have just jerked it."
