NYC Marathon Celebrities 2013:Hollywood Stars Like Baywatch Babe Pamela Anderson Participated In New York Marathon After A Hiatus From Super Storm Sandy

After a hiatus due to super storm Sandy last year New York City Marathon resumes last November 3 and according to an article posted by New York Road Runners on September 24, participants of the NYC Marathon 2013 include celebrities, which will be running on behalf o a meaningful cause.

Some of the celebrity runners this year were veterans of the event, including "Insidious" star Patrick Wilson, Every Mother Counts founder Christy Turlington Burns, author Richard Blais and restaurateur Joe Bastianich.

The famous marathon welcomed new runners like "Baywatch" actress Pamela Anderson, Olympic swimming gold medalist Summer Sanders and entrepreneur Bill Rancic who ran on behalf of TIMEX.

 "We always look forward to having our celebrity runners be a part of the ING New York City Marathon," said Mary Wittenberg, President and CEO of New York Road Runners. "Like thousands of our runners, they are adding meaning to their miles by raising awareness and funds for special causes close to their hearts. Star power helps spread the story of the power of the Marathon, and the benefits of running. Each of these notable participants are admirable advocates of healthy living, and exhibit a refreshing sense of determination to take on the ultimate challenge of 26.2 miles."

Here's a look at the unofficial times posted by celebrities among a record 50,740 runners who started the race:

Summer Sanders (four-time Olympic medalist swimmer) - 3:24:00

Nick Kypreos (former NHL player) - 4:43:38

Marie-Jose Perec (three-time Olympic champion sprinter) - 4:51:52

Bill Rancic (first winner of "The Apprentice") - 4:57:23

Stephanie Abrams (The Weather Channel) - 5:03:46

Sam Ryan (MLB Network) - 5:32:23

Pamela Anderson (actress/model) - 5:41:03

Michelle Beadle (reporter/host) - 6:08:22

Moreover, both Kenyan National Priscah Jeptoo for the Women's division and Geoffrey Mutai for the Men's division won the race.  Jeptoo finished the race with an impressive 2 hours, 25 minutes, 7 seconds while Mutai finished with a more impressive 2 hours 8 minutes and 24 seconds.
