Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Update: Official Android 4.3 Jelly Bean For Phablet On Its Way, Group Play 2.5 With Video Support & Smart Switch Expected New Features

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 update: With every updates comes the possibility of new features. And thanks to the up and coming incremental rollout of the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Group Play 2.5 with video support, Smart Switch and the expected support feature for Samsung Galaxy Gear are all coming to the phablet.

According to Gotta Be Mobile, the update components also include Samsung KNOX*, a secure and comprehensive mobile solution for enterprises and consumers; HomeSync to store, share and enjoy content securely and updates capabilities to make it easier to input text. GBM also noted that updated graphics and multimedia is part of the Android 4.3 upgrade to Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

A leak time table shows that the Android 4.3 update to Samsung Galaxy Note 2 would probably arrive by late November to early December, with AT&T and Sprint leading the charge of update beginning November 20.

Gotta Be Mobile noted that the rollout for the update in the U.S. will be similar to how it is done in other parts of the world, where it’ll be given to owners in an incremental fashion. What it means is that the updates would flow out over the course of a week and not a single day. Carriers in the U.S. do this in order for it to make sure that there are no major errors on board and that the installation process goes smoothly.

Although carriers apply extensive software testing prior to the updates, it typically don’t catch everything and users could expect to encounter issues when installing the update. Backing up photos either via Google Drive or Dropbox is always a recommended step in order to do a clean install.
