Nexus 5 Release Date News: Month Long Shipping Wait? Users Might Have To Wait Up To Four Weeks For Google’s New Phone To Arrive

Google unveiled the Nexus 5 last Thursday, but users might have to wait up to a month for the new phone to ship out.

The 16GB and 32GB black version and the 16GB white version available unlocked from Google all now show a ship time of 3 to 4 weeks as of Monday morning, CNET.com reports.

Consumers waiting for the 32GB white model face a wait of 2 to 3 weeks, CNET.com also reports.

The 16GB Nexus 5 is available for $39 while the 32GB version is available for $399.

The Nexus 5 beat out the LG G2 in BaseMark X benchmarks for gaming, with a score of 14.17 as compared to its competitor's 12.53 score, leaving many users wondering if gaming will be better on the new phone.

In a tweet last week, @evleaks posted a new rendering of the Nexus 5, showing the device with a white back cover and a short message: "In white. 11/1."

Google also accidentally published product shots of the Nexus 5 on its Google Play Store last week, giving more impetus to the release of the new phone.

Bluetooth SIG, which frequently released information about upcoming phones in the market, published a certification of a device entitled "LG-D821," which tipped off the end-of-month release for the Nexus 5.
