NBA Transactions 2013-2014 Season, Update And Rumors: Toronto Raptors Wants Steve Nash Before He Ends His Playing Career, Z-Bo “Would Like To Retire” In Memphis

The Los Angeles Lakers, who are now 2-2 entering the season, are feeling the loss of their star player Kobe Bryant in their lineup.

With a rough start and veteran guard Steve Nash growing older and slower, he might end up as second-stringer for the Lakers coming off the bench replacing the likes of Jordan Farmar and Steve Blake.

Rumors from critics and analysts might go around but we will never be too sure until the decision comes from the players or the team themselves.

The Canadian player might be traded when his contract expires but probably not in a young team like the Raptors as analysts would point out.

But as reports would tell us. It is not going to happen. The Raptors are a young and fast rebuilding team and trading one of their fast and young players like Rudy Gay would be just a wrong move.

On the other hand, there may be some interesting NBA transactions for this 2013-2014 season coming our way but again, we will never know how the movements of the players will be until the team decides.

Included are some of the soon-to-be free agents are Lance Stephenson of the Pacers and Zach Randolph of the Memphis Grizzlies who expresses that they remain on their teams and hopes to be re-signed by their respective clubs.

“I don't think about that,” Stephenson of the Pacers said. “It's a long season, I'm not thinking nothing about contracts. I'm going to stay with the Pacers, so I'm not even thinking about the contract.”

Z-Bo on the other hands wishes he would retire with Memphis until he finishes his career.

"I’d like to be here," said the Grizzlies big man. "I’d like to retire here. You never know. If I’ve got to make some sacrifices to be here, I would. I still can play. I can still help a team out. I want to win a championship. I’ve made all the money in the world. I just want to win. I don’t know yet [about opting in or opting out], but Memphis is my home. If they trade me tomorrow, I’m here. I just bought a new house. My daughters go to school [in Memphis]. That’s my home."
