NFL Coach Gary Kubiak Of The Houston Texans Collapses On Field At Halftime: Team Falls To Colts After Coach's Shocking Sideline

NFL Coach Gary Kubiak of the Houston Texans collapsed on field at halftime during the game against Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, November 3, 2013. Gary was immediately rushed to a Houston hospital where he gained consciousness after a few hours.

Wade Philips, the defensive coordinator and interim coach in the absence of Kubiak, told the media persons later that doctors have not diagnosed signs of heart attack. However, various tests are lined up for Monday during which chances of stroke will also be determined.

Recalling the incident, Wade said he just saw Kubiak fall the ground and people surrounding him suddenly.

Antonio Smith, a Houston Texan player, remembered the entire incident in vivid detail, saying, "He went down to his knee and couldn't get back up and looked like he was having trouble breathing. It looked serious because he couldn't get back up and everyone was surrounding him."

Gary Kubiak was attended by medics on field and wheeled out on a stretcher. He was immediately admitted in a Houston hospital.

Meanwhile, the Houston Texans lost the game 27-24 to Indianapolis Colts despite leading by 21-3 at halftime. They lost several opportunities to score or prevent, which cost them the game. Wade denied that the defeat was on account of Kubiak's collapse and subsequent concern amongst the players.

Arian Foster's early departure from the game, on account of strain in the lower back, added to the misery of Texans. The team scored only three after halftime while Colt's unanswered 21 points stint sealed their victory in the game that was almost lost to them.

Both the teams expressed concern for the health of Gary Kubiak and prayed for his speedy recovery. Jim Irsay, the owner of Indianapolis Colts tweeted, "Big time prayers for Coach Kubiak. God bless his healthy return and ease his family's worry and concern."
