Selena Gomez To Give a Home Town Performance for Thanksgiving; Will Perform the Halftime Show at Dallas Cowboys Game

Selena Gomez, Come and Get It Singer, will be going home for the holidays. Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend will be heading to Dallas to perform the halftime show at the Dallas Cowboys’ game on Thanksgiving.

Selena Gomez said “It's such a great honor.”

Selena Gomez will perform at halftime when her home team, the Cowboys take on the Oakland Raiders. The halftime performance will help Gomez launch the The Salvation Army's 123rd Red Kettle Campaign that gets help to the poor on the holidays.Last year’s performer was Kenny Chesney, and the organization was able to raise $148.7 million.

Selena Gomez took to Twitter to post a photo with two Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders on Sunday. She issued a statement saying “Dallas is my hometown, and to be invited to perform on behalf of The Salvation Army is such a great honor.”

The Dallas Cowboys partnered with The Salvation Army since 1997 to launch the fundraiser on Thanksgiving Day since 1997. Over the past 16 yearsm the campaign has brought in over $1.75 billion to help provide meals, clothes, shelter, toys and other goods and services for the poor.
