Android Apps Free Download: Asphalt 8 Now Free For Download Before First Major Update Rolls Out

Released more than a month ago, Gameloft's Asphalt 8: Airborne becomes one of the top Android apps free for download. In a blog post by GSM Arena, the racing game has become free to download from Google's Play Store starting today.

According to the report, the change from paid to free may be due to the upcoming major update which would roll out any time soon. Gameloft also made the same move in the App Store a couple of weeks ago, so it will make sense of Android gets the same treatment. 

The first major update will feature the new Renault Clio R.S. model, the Limited Time Cups game mode and other features which would keep players busy. 

In case you are new to this game, Asphalt 8: Airborne is similar to former installments of the game, save for some drastic graphical improvements. For the first time in the franchise, cars can now flip and make airborne stunts.
