Naomi Campbell Thought Harry Styles Was Her Friend's Kid, Didn’t Recognize One Direction Singer At 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremonies In London

Naomi Campbell admitted she thought Harry Styles was her friend's kid when she met Harry Styles, the One Direction singer, at the 2012 Olympic closing ceremonies in London.

Naomi Campbell, the 43-year-old supermodel, admitted during an interview with Heat magazine, according to IB Times: "Kate [Moss] introduced me to him at the Olympics. And I said to her, 'Whose son is he? Is he one of our model friends' kids that I just missed out on?' I didn't know who he was. Kate was like, 'Stop! No! You must know him.' "

But just because Naomi Campbell didn't recognize Harry Styles from One Direction doesn't mean he isn't a world-famous heartthrob. According to IB Times, One Direction just returned home from Tokyo on Monday, after finishing up a worldwide sell-out tour. They completed their second headlining concert tour "Take Me Home," which began in February with more than 100 shows in Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia, IB Times reports.

"134 shows !And I wasn't bored for one show because we have the best fans on the planet, and we do all this for u,coz u gave all of this t us [sic]," fellow One Direction singer Niall Horan, 20, wrote on Twitter when the tour came to a close.  

One Direction will soon be on the move again: Harry Styles and his band mates are set to perform on the American Music Awards on Nov. 24 in Los Angeles.

In the Heat interview, Campbell also revealed that even though she is a world-famous supermodel, she gets star-struck at times.

"Of course I get star-struck, but I don't run up to the person, I just look from afar.

"I saw Michael Douglas' dad Kirk in Cipriani in New York once. He said, 'Come here young lady.' I was like, 'Oh my God,'" she said.
