Final Fantasy X / X-2 HD Release Updates: Concept Art Book, Commentary, And Penance, Cross-Save Functionality Supported Between PS3 And Vita Versions
As Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD remakes loom closer to their release date, more updates have surfaced regarding the PS3 and Vita release.
Firstly, it is confirmed that Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD for the PS3 and Vita will have cross-save functionality. This means a save file from a PS3 Final Fantasy X HD version can be transferred should a player want to start Final Fantasy X-2 HD on the Vita.
"These games are classic fan-favorites, and we hope that new and old Final Fantasy fans can experience the world of Spira and the story of Tidus and Yuna in a brand-new light with these remastered editions," says Square Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase according to CVG.
The Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD limited edition will feature an exclusive concept art book as well as commentary from the original development teams.
Lastly, a "special message" from Kitase will come with the limited edition release as well.
Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD remake will arrive in Japan December 26, with a U.S. release presumably to be announced later.
And as Final Fantasy fans await this highly anticipated release, Final Fantasy X HD will include the superboss Penance, which was only available for the European release originally.
