Miley Cyrus allegedly wrote a love letter to Liam Hemsworth apologizing for her behavior throughout their relationship and asking for him to return to her, leaving fans wondering if the couple might end their break up.

"She thought about writing some songs, but then decided why not write a letter to Liam to tell him exactly how she feels. Miley admitted to Liam she has pushed him away and said sorry for acting so mad," a source told The Sun.

"Miley says in her letter she still loves Liam deeply and has asked him to meet up. It could be for closure or it could be to start again, but she just wants to see him and talk things through."

Liam Hemsworth has not made any public comments in regard to the letter.

Miley Cyrus posted a photo of herself on Twitter leaning on a Halloween display featuring a donkey resembling the Democratic Party a day after she broke up with ex-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, giving many the impression she was taking jabs at his new girlfriend Eiza Gonzalez.

Eiza Gonzalez, a Mexican actress and model, has a history of plastic surgery done to repair her nose, cheeks and chin by using Botox applications. - rumors suggest this was the inspiration for Miley Cyrus' photo.

Although news about Miley Cyrus' letter might signal a return to Liam Hemsworth, the former Disney star revealed in an interview last week that she is much happier now that she has ended her relationship with him, pointing to the fact that she is over her rumored depression.

"This is the best time of my life," Miley told Cosmopolitan for their December 2013 issue, according to HollywoodLife.com

"I'm not going to look back on it and be like, 'I wish I hadn't been dwelling over a breakup,' you know? Because that's not what God wants my life to be about right now."
