Spoiler alert: Schmidt, Nick, and Winston are going to be more than excited to have Coach return to the loft, but the boys will also get competitive when they vie for his attention in season 3, episode 7 of "New Girl."

The official synopsis of Coach's return episode is: "A newly single Coach (guest star Wayans, Jr., "Happy Endings) returns to the loft, and wants to pick up exactly where he left off when he moved out. Meanwhile Jess and Cece have a girls' night out, during which they meet a handsome stranger (guest star Diggs) in the all-new "Coach" episode of NEW GIRL airing Tuesday, Nov. 5 (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX."

So why is Coach returning now? Spoiler alert: Schmidt moved out of the loft in the previous episode, due to their neighbor dying in a nearby apartment and opening it up for a new tenant. We're hoping in season 3, episode 7 of "New Girl" we get to find out what Coach has been up to since he's been gone.

As fans of "New Girl" know, Wayans was in the pilot of the show, but then left for his series "Happy Endings," which now has been cancelled by ABC.

According to CarterMatt.com, we will also get to find out more about Winston's professional basketball past in Latvia during this episode, through flashbacks. E! Online reports that the viewers will get to see "when he (Winston) learned his basketball career was over due to injury, prompting his return to the loft."
