Google Nexus 5 has been recently released, heating up the highly-competitive smartphone market even more which already includes the Galaxy S4 from Samsung and the Moto X from Motorola Mobility, a company bought by Google last year.

So below is the rundown of the basic specifications of these 3 popular smartphones. Let the battle begins!

When it comes to display specs, Samsung Galaxy S4 has the largest one, winning only by 0.05 inch from the Google Nexus 5. The Samsung Galaxy S4 is equipped with a 5.0 inch display screen with Super AMOLED, while the Nexus 5 has 4.95 inches, IPS. When it comes to screen resolution, Nexus 5 and Galaxy S4 both have 1920 X 1080 pixels. However, Nexus 5 has slightly higher pixel density with 445ppi compared to Samsung Galaxy S4's 441ppi.

Meanwhile, the Moto X has 4.7 inch screen but it is also using AMOLED display and with a resolution of 1280 x 720 at 316 pixels per inch.

Motorola packed its smartphone with 1.7 GHZ quad-core X8 processor with Adreno 320 for graphics engine. Moto X is also equipped with 2 GB RAM.

As for the processor of the Nexus 5, the latest smartphone is powered by Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 800 with a clock speed of 2.2Ghz. The Android device comes with Adreno 330 GPU and 2 GB RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy S4, on the other hand, is running with 1.9 Ghz quad-core processor, but using only Snapdragon 600 from Qualcomm. Similar to the first two phones, the Galaxy S4 also has 2 GB of RAM.

Samsung Galaxy S4 has 2600mAh battery with 17 hours of talk time using 3G connection. Meanwhile the Galaxy Nexus 5 and the Moto X, according to Geek.com both use a 2300 mAh battery.
