Tom Cruise Files $50 Million Defamation Lawsuit Against Bauer Publishing - ‘I Have In No Way Cut Suri Out Of My Life,’ The Oblivion Actor Claims

Tom Cruise is not happy with accusations against his parenting style with his daughter Suri Cruise. The Oblivion star just filed a $50 million Defamation lawsuit against Bauer Publishing Co, regarding the claims of both "Life & Style" and "In Touch" magazines, that he "abandoned" Suri after his divorce with Katie Holmes last June 2012.

Cruise claims that he is ''extremely close'' to his daughter despite his divorce with Katie Holmes. The actor finally speaks about his relationship with his daughter after the divorce.

The Mission Impossible star said that the accusations were ''patently false.'' The actor said, ''I have in no way cut Suri out of my life - whether physically, emotionally, financially or otherwise.''

Both "Life & Style" and "In Touch" magazines published articles last year, citing that Cruise was not visible from his daughter's life because of the overseas movie commitments that he had.

Cruise confessed that he was busy shooting back-to-back films in UK and Iceland during the second half of 2012 when the "In Touch" magazine published its article with the headline: "Abandoned by Daddy." Moreover, he stated, "As my numerous emails with Suri's mother during this time period demonstrate, I was a constant presence in Suri's life."

He added that his family together with Suri had previously with him during his movie productions overseas but ''changed circumstances'' happened due to his divorce with Katie Holmes, making it impossible for him and his daughter to spend time together as often as before.

His daughter Suri lived with her mom, Katie Holmes in New York after the break-up, where she was enrolled in school, Cruise declared.

He also revealed that he spoke with her daughter "nearly every day" through phone calls whenever he's abroad and that they saw each other in person in July, August and November.

As Tom continues,"While I'm sure my daughter misses me when I am not with her (as I miss her), she is a very happy child, and we have a wonderful relationship and cheerful phone calls."

On the other hand, lawyers of Bauer Publishing are arguing that the judge should not consider Cruise's case and say that the magazines can back up their statements that came from confidential sources.
