‘American Horror Story’ Season 4 Confirmed! Jessica Lange To Still Be A Part Of The Upcoming Season

The scaring isn't over yet for 'American Horror Story' has been recently renewed for another season. The FX series will have 13 new episodes slated for airing in 2014.

The show's third season, 'American Horror Story: Coven', garnered 7.7 million viewers which immediately surpassed its record for the two previous seasons. The ongoing season revolves around witchcraft and will still have nine more episodes before its finale on January 29, 2014.

In an official statement, John Landraf of FX expressed his gratefulness for the team behind the successful horror program: "Put simply, Ryan Murphy is a master television producer. Time and time again he reinvents the form. What he, co-creator Brad Falchuk and their producers Dante Di Loreto, Tim Minear, Jennifer Salt, James Wong, Brad Buecker, Jessica Sharzer, Douglas Petrie, Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, Alexis Martin Woodall and the entire production team and cast responsible for the 'American Horror Story' franchise have done is nothing short of extraordinary. Every year, they create a riveting and brilliant new miniseries."

He likewise added that the upcoming season wouldn't disappoint the show's fans: "AHS: Coven' is the best yet, and I have no doubt that the next installment will be even better."

Will Jessica Lange still be present in the new season of 'American Horror Story'? In all seasons of the show, the 64-year-old Oscar-winning actress has been a mainstay character. For the fourth season, Lange confirms that she will still be playing a pivotal role although she reveals that it will be her last for she wants to star in films again.

However, co-creator Ryan Murphy thinks that this season will not be the last for Lange: "Every year, she says, 'OK, that's my last one.' But she's already committed to the fourth series. I can see 'American Horror Story' going 10 years, 12 years and 15 years."
