Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro Review, Specs: Windows 8.1 Powered Laptop & Tablet Hybrid With 4th Gen Haswell Chips A Great Upgrade From Preceding Model, Starts At $929

Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro review and specs: The Windows 8.1 powered laptop and tablet hybrid is gaining steam with Lenovo seemingly leading the way in this category of ultrabooks. Specs for the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro include 13.” QHD + LED Glossi Multi-toucch 3200 x 1800 display with Intel HD Graphics 4400. It also has the 4th generation Haswell Core chips, up to an i7, and up to 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. Entry-level price begins at $929.

According to Gizmodo, the new Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro, which succeeds the Lenovo Yoga 2, calls the ultrabook “basically a perfect upgrade.” It refines the specs of its predecessors and adds a super high-res screen on top.

Although the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro isn’t thinner than last year’s model, it does feel thinner because of its tapered edges, noted Gizmodo. It’s also pleasant to hold and pick up compared to machines with wedge designs like the Macbook Air.

The screen of the Lenovo Yoga 2 is top of the class. It’s vibrant and bright. Gizmodo said that the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro is brighter than the Kirabook and better than the 1080p display of the Vaio Pro and Aspire S7.

The screen’s official brightness is 350 nits, a bit higher than what most ultrabooks run in, which is at 300. The extra oomph, noted Gizmodo is the added pixel density. It also has a 6-hour battery life, which though shorter for a machine that has a Haswell chip, is probably caused by the screen quality consuming a good amount of battery power.

The Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro is available in Silver Gray and Clemetine Orange.
