‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ PS4: Sony’s Next Gen Console May Have Issues With The Graphics Of Activision’s First-Person Shooter Game Running At 60FPS

"Call of Duty: Ghosts" PS4 version may have problems with the graphics of the game.

"Call of Duty: Ghosts" has already been released and according to UberGizmo, its sales are already reaching "record-breaking proportions as Activision announced the title raked in $1 billion just in its first day of sales."

And with the release of highly-anticipated next-generation gaming console, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, the market sales of Call of Duty: Ghosts are expected to skyrocket even more.

However, when it comes to "Call of Duty:Ghosts" PS4 version, several reviewers expressed their concern that it may suffer from a "stutter-effect" because its frame rate drops at various points during the game.

Before the release of "Call of Duty: Ghosts", Rubin, the head of Activision said, "One of the key pillars of Call of Duty has been 60 frames per second... and ensuring that was of utmost importance, and the resolutions that appear are geared around that,"

The competitor of PlayStation 4, Microsoft's Xbox One lowered the game to 720p so the 60fps will be guaranteed. And from Xbox One, Wii U also runs the game at only 720p. However, the "Call of Duty: Ghosts" PS4 version "plays the game at a native 1080p."

As cited by UK site, Mirror, Joystiq stated, "The PlayStation 4 version... has noticeable technical issues, sometimes slowing to a crawl, particularly during set-piece moments with multiple effects." The post further reads, "Frame rate hitches happen throughout the campaign on PlayStation 4 and, in a series known for its Hollywood-inspired bombast, it detracted from the experience."

Activision has not made any statement yet regarding the graphics issue that might be experienced while playing "Call of Duty: Ghosts" PS4 version but as the Activision head told previously, "There's enormous amounts of work ahead of us in perfecting our game engines on both [Sony and Microsoft's] platforms."

PlayStation 4 will arrive in the US on November 15 and in the UK on the 29th.
