Andrew Garfield, Girlfriend Emma Stone Feature In New ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Photos; Trailer To Come Soon

According to ScreenCrush, Sony has released three new photos of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx, to tease fans for the trailer, which is to be released soon.

In one of the photos, Andrew Garfield and his real-life girlfriend Emma Stone pose as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy in an intimate moment. Garfield leans against a brick wall while looking deeply into Stone's eyes, while Stone places her hands tenderly on Garfield's chest. The Times of India reports that this is the first Spider-Man movie to be filmed entirely in New York.

ScreenCrush reports that according to the Times, the second installment in the Spider-Man franchise will feature Peter Parker as he "continues to adjust to his crime fighting life as Spider-Man and relationship with Gwen Stacy while dealing with new enemies."

According to Entertainmentwise, Peter Parker defends the city of New York against two super villains, the Rhino (Paul Giamatti) and Electro (Jamie Foxx) in the new "Spider-Man" flick.

Another photo released by Sony features Jamie Foxx as Electro, looking horrifying with his mouth wide open and his face glowing with neon veins. The other photo is of Spider-Man wearing a fireman's hat and brandishing a firehose.

Other stars in the film include Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn, while Shailene Woodley's involvement as the new Mary Jane Watson was cut from the second installment, ScreenCrush reports. This was reportedly done to focus on the relationship between Peter and Gwen.

We can't wait to catch "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," which will open in theaters May 2, 2014.
