Upcoming Android Phones 2013: LG G Flex Hits Korean Stores Tomorrow, Pricing Not Yet Specified

The conquest for smartphone supremacy continues beyond the confines of flat displays. Samsung released the world's first ever curved phone and a few weeks later, it is LG's turn.

Tomorrow, the latter's G Flex will officially be available in Korean stores, and while its rival's Galaxy Round may not even see the light of day overseas, the G Flex may possibly hit the international market in the next few months.

As far as critics are concerned, the G Flex makes more sense than the Galaxy Round, which is primarily a curved phone. LG's design and components have not only made its phone curved, but slightly flexible as well. One could push down an LG G Flex on a flat surface until the phone's curvature disappears. Afterwards, the phone will return to its curved shape once pressure has been lifted.

The phone packs monster specs which are similar to the G2, save the curved and flexible 720p resolution display. The G Flex has a Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2GB of RAM, and a curved and flexible battery.

Pricing has not been confirmed yet, though it's not impossible that it would go higher than $1000.
