Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Release Date For Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Drawing Nigh, To Bring New Features, Tweaks And More

As a device that was released more than a year ago, one can say that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is still relatively new and relevant in the market. And while it may get the version 4.4 KitKat, some owners would want prefer getting Android 4.3 Jelly Bean first. And reports say the release date is drawing nearer.

According to GSM Arena, a source has tipped that the Android 4.3 build has already hit Samsung centers which could mean that the latest Jelly Bean update will start rolling to Galaxy Note 2 devices shortly.

While Samsung has yet to make the official annoucement, the source claims it could roll via OTA any day from now. The build, which was dated October 31st reportedly includes the following changelog:

  • OpenGL 3.0 Support
  • ANT+ Support
  • Samsung KNOX Implementation (KNOX bootloader and dedicated application)
  • Samsung Wallet comes pre-loaded
  • Improved RAM management
  • Improved Display colour reproduction (Display looks much sharper than before)
  • Improved TouchWiz Launcher (Much less launcher redraws and less lag)
  • New Samsung Keyboard
  • New Samsung Browser (Full screen by default, new tab interface and more)
  • New Reading Mode (Optimises display for reading, used by only a few specific applications)
  • New Camera firmware
  • Minor UI tweaks (Contacts app, Flashlight Widget, dialog boxes etc)
  • This is certainly great news for Samsung owners because it means the Korean manufacturer is poised to provide support for their one-year-old devices.
