According to IB Times, the official description for this episode of "How I Met Your Mother" reads: "The gang ponders the future of the Ted, Robin and Barney love triangle. Meanwhile, Barney accepts a series of challenges from Lily and Robin."

IB Times reports that episode 9 will take us out of Farhampton Inn and all the wedding drama (finally!), and feature a much-loved flashback. The flashback will bring the cast back to good ol' MacLaren's pub and Marshall and Lily's apartment.

However, this flashback will be about the gang "reminiscing about the past (or possibly even imagining a different past)," IB Times reports.

Perhaps the flashback will take a peek at an alternate future: what would have happened it Ted and Robin had gotten together instead of Robin and Barney?

Also, "Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston will be returning to the CBS comedy as Hammond Druthers, Ted's former boss, in episode 9. A sneak peak shows Bryan offering Ted a job, Latino Post reports.

Hammond tells Ted: "I want you on my team, and I won't take no for an answer."

In response, Ted deadpans, "No."

But when will The Mother return to "How I Met Your Mother"? According to TV Line's Ask Ausiello: "My always-reliable gut tells me she will resurface later this month - perhaps in more than one episode. But what I know for sure is that with her next appearance, she will meet another member of the gang."
