LG G2 Review: Out Of The Box Design, Powerful Under The Hood Specs & Competitive Price Makes The G2 One Of The Best Android Smartphones In The Market

LG G2 Review: The new flagship by South Korean tech giant LG is being hailed as one of the best Android smartphones in the market. The handset is pparently a very powerful one. It is expected to be a harsh competitor to the popular likes of Samsung, HTC and Sony. Unfortunately however, it will still have to deal with the now official Nexus 5 which has been confirmed will be way cheaper than the G2. It would be a shame if the G2 doesn’t get a chance to shine as the company has managed to combine impressive power with a unique design boasting a superb screen. It is definitely one of the most appealing Android phones of 2013 so far.

As is the trend among smartphones nowadays, Knowyourmobile.com claims that the G2 is highly dominated by its touchscreen. It has a diagonal length of 5.2 inches and yet the company made sure that the device remains as compact as possible so that it is still thin enough to go into your pocket without much hassle.

Despite not having the premium feel that one gets from the iPhone 5s, the G2’s all-plastic design is still solid enough while making sure that it does not have an overbearing weight. Like a lot of other smartphones, LG decided to make the design a totally sealed unit so you will have no way of getting to the battery if you wanted to. The company has also done away with the MicroSD card slot so the only entry you see into the device is a MicroSim card tray that you have to pop open with something like a pin.

According to Knowyourmobile.com, one of the most striking features that will raise your eyebrows is the positioning of the physical buttons. The company placed the power key and volume buttons at the back alongside the camera. The thinking behind it is that your fingers naturally rest in this position when you hold a smartphone. This is therefore supposed to make using the buttons simpler as you don’t have to reposition your fingers to the sides as is the norm with a majority of devices. According to Knowyourmobile.com, it takes a bit of getting used to but it is a welcome freshness in smartphone designs that seem to be running out of options.

Other than the design, Knowyourmobile.com insists that the power in the G2 is to behold. It has the same chipset that you would find in a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 – the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. This chipset that is a quad-core 2.26GHZ CPU is backed by 2GB of RAM so it should be ahead of other smart devices for a year or two to come. Even your most intense tasks on the G2 will be performed with ease that will put a smile on your face. You can even have 2 apps running side by side thanks to LG’s QSlide.
