Sherlock Season 3 News: Fans Theorize On Irene Adler Return As Benedict Cumberbatch Accepts Britannia Award, Scoring For Series Nearly Complete

As "Sherlock" season 3 draws ever closer, more news have surfaced as fans continue to theorize on what could arise in the upcoming series.

As fans know, "Sherlock" season 3will premiere in the U.S. on January 19, and now some are wondering whether Irene Adler will make an appearance.

"While Moriarty is definitely the more popular, a far more likely candidate for a return visit (in the present day of the series) is Lara Pulver's Irene Adler," writes Sherlockology on Metro.

"Lara is on record for saying exactly the opposite of Scott and Moffat regarding her own character, playing a brilliant guessing game with the interviewing media for many months, and clearly desires a return for her character to the series at some point in the future."

Would you want to see a return of Irene Adler?

Meanwhile, fans can now watch the acceptance speech of Benedict Cumberbatch during the 2013 Britannia Awards.

"Writers, directors, and fellow artists help you do what you do. I stand on all of their shoulders here tonight, so to ask me to stand up here by myself is deeply, deeply unfair!" says the "Sherlock" actor.

Watch the entire speech below:

And as the actor enjoys his success, post-production of "Sherlock" season 3 is nearing its end, with film scoring being one of the final pieces to add to the puzzle.

According to a recent Twitter update, music recording for season 3 is almost over, so hopefully an air date for "Sherlock" in the BBC will follow soon after.
