Android 4.4 Kit Kat Release Date For Nexus 4 In The Works, Nexus 7 And 10 Getting The Update Sooner Than You Think

A lot of people have been waiting for the Nexus 5, and a couple of weeks back, Google finally took the wraps off of its new hero phone. Aside from the phone, the new Android version has also been announced, and it looks like the Android 4.4 Kit Kat release date for older devices is already set especially for past Nexus devices.

In a report by Gotta Be Mobile, the newest Android version is already on its way to the one-year-old Nexus 4. Meanwhile, both the Nexus 7 and 10 have already started receiving the Android 4.4 Kit Kat update since yesterday. However, some countries and regions may not get the update right away.

This is certainly great news for Google and Android fans who feel that their one-year-old devices are still in good condition to perform the tasks they need.

In an attempt to unite all Android devices, Google has also made the system demand for KitKat as minimal as possible. As a result, even two or three-year-old devices would be able to run the latest version without hiccups.

Apart from a few performance upgrades, Android 4.4 KitKat is primarily seen as a game-changer in the field of mobile TV.
