Zayn Malik Ex Girlfriend Wishes One Direction Singer ‘Good Luck’ On Getting Engaged To Perrie Edwards, Admits They Haven’t Spoken: ‘I'd Feel Quite Awkward’

Zayn Malik's ex girlfriend Rebecca Ferguson opened up about how she feels now that Zayn Malik is engaged to Perrie Edwards. Zayn Malik's ex girlfriend only had kind words for Zayn Malik getting engaged to Perrie Edwards, but admitted she'd feel awkward if they talked again.

Rebecca Ferguson, 27, dated Zayn, 20, while they both appeared as contestants on the 2010 series of "The X Factor," Entertainmentwise report. They only dated for a few months, because their relationship was overshadowed by the controversy of their age gap, as well as an unspoken reason behind their break up.

"I love Little Mix I think they're a brilliant band I was just talking about them before, I think they're a brilliant band their songs are brilliant," Ferguson said about Perrie Edwards' band. "I think it's nice to wish people well, I think it's easy to hate your ex but actually it's nice to just say you know what, good luck to you," she added.

When Entertainmentwise asked if she has spoken to Zayn since the engagement was announced, Rebecca replied: "I haven't been in touch with him, I think maybe if I'd seen him I'd just say hello but I'd feel quite awkward just saying 'Hey!'"

Rebecca has a new man in her life too: "I'm lucky because I've got a lovely boyfriend who I hope I'll always be with, I'm settled full time," Rebecca told Entertainmentwise.

After their break up, some suspected that infidelity was the cause of the split between Zayn and his ex girlfriend Rebecca.

According to UnrealityTV, while speaking to New magazine previously about her romance with Zayn, Rebecca said, "Zayn knows so far that I've stayed classy and quiet and bitten my lip.

"I won't talk about what went wrong between us, but he knows what happened. And it is what it is.

"I won't expose what went on there."

She later added, "I am a bit done with men. I am yet to find one faithful. I don't know why boys are like that.

"I think I am too nice with them and let them get away with murder.

"It is heartbreaking to feel that I have been let down like that."

Hopefully Rebecca found what she was looking for in her new boyfriend!
