Anderson Cooper Twitter: Alec Baldwin’s Apologies For ‘Anti-Gay Slurs’ Are ‘So Ridiculous They Are Funny’; GLAAD Calls On Actor To ‘End This Pattern’

Anderson Cooper took to his Twitter to call out Alec Baldwin after he was caught on camera yelling homophobic slurs at a New York photographer yesterday. Anderson Cooper does not believe Alec Baldwin's apologies on Twitter are sincere to the LGBT community.

Alec Baldwin shouted at least one homophobic slur at a cameraman yesterday, following a courtroom victory in his stalker case, SFGate reports.

In a TMZ video, Baldwin is heard yelling: "that one is a "c---sucking fag."

Later, Baldwin took to Twitter to deny that he used the phrase, instead claiming he used the term "fathead."

However, today he admitted to shouting the homophobic slur, in an oddly emotionless post on Twitter: "1-Rich Ferraro from @glaad informs me that c'sucker is an anti-gay epithet. In which case I apologize and will retire it from my vocabulary."

But CNN's Anderson Cooper is not satisfied with his apology.

"Wow, Alec Baldwin shows his true colors yet again. How is he going to lie and excuse his anti-gay slurs this time?" Anderson Cooper wrote on his Twitter.

"Just read Alec Baldwin's latest excuses. They are actually so ridiculous they are funny," he added.

Someone commented on Anderson's post, and asked "why does he have to apologize, yes he's an idiot....but it's his right to say it."

Anderson responded: "I never suggested he had to apologize. He can say whatever he wants, but then why repeatedly lie about it afterwards?"

GLAAD also does not find Alec Baldwin's apology sincere, and told TMZ in a statement: "Mr. Baldwin can't lend his support for equality on paper while degrading gay people in practice. It's clearly time he listens to the calls from so many LGBT people and allies to end this pattern of anti-gay slurs."

This isn't the first time Baldwin has used homophobic phrases.

In June, he yelled at Daily Mail reporter George Stark and called him a "toxic little queen," after his wife was accused of tweeting during James Gandolfini's funeral.
