50 people are dead in Boeing airliner crash in Russia.

A Boeing 737 passenger airliner crashed in Russia on Sunday night while trying to land at the Kazak airport. Authorities say all 50 people aboard were killed.

Officials say Boeing airliner crashed on a flight that took off from Moscow's Domodedovo airport. The plane exploded when it hit the runway when it was making a second attempt to land. All 44 passengers and six crewmembers who were on board were killed. Kazan is about 450 miles east of Moscow.

Boeing Airliner belong to Tatarstan Airlines. The crashed happened at 7:20 p.m. local time, which was 10:20 a.m. EST). No cause of the crash has been reported yet. The weather in Kazak was light precipitation and 18 mile an hour winds.

Irina Rossius, an Emergencies Ministry spokesperson, said at the time of the crash there were 44 passengers and six crew members aboard the Boeing Airliner.

According to Russian media, the Boeing airliner caught fire after it crashed. It took emergency crews an hour to extinguish the fire.

Russian officials believe the cause of the Boeing airliner crash may have been cause by an error from the pilots, but aren't ruling out technical issues.

Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency said the Boeing airliner attempted to land three times before crashing.

The last plane crash in Russia occurred in January. Five people were killed when a Red Wings airliner,  a Russian-made Tupolev, went off the runway at Moscow's Vnukovo airport. Investigators blamed equipment failure caused the crash.
