The much anticipated return of Kobe after suffering a torn Achilles tendon in April is set for the Lakers to come back from a rough start and looks to have him back for a go-to-guy for the LA squad.

LA Lakers big man Jordan Hill after getting a career high game against Detroit told reporters the Bryant is looking good in practice and hopes to have the franchise player back in the lineup soon.

"He looked real good," Hill said. "He was going real hard. I thought he wasn't going to be able to go that hard but he was really pushing it. And, I know he's not ready yet but he's coming along and he should be ready pretty soon."

The full clearance given by the doctors will signal not a fully recovered Kobe Bryant injury but a signal to practice with his team, meaning he can get ready to play until he is fully well.

This can be a signal that what Kobe said about his comeback last June in an interview for a local radio station that we can see him back playing before the year ends.

"I'm shooting for November-December latest. That's my goal in my head," the 15-year all star said in a KSPN-AM 710 interview in Los Angeles.

Lakers head coach Mike D'Antoni on the other hand is being patient with the Kobe Bryant injury and will let the superstar play whenever he is 100 percent.

"You're dealing with, 'Is he sore today? Is there a setback tomorrow? How [hard] can he go?'" D'Antoni said. "That's the first step and there's a lot of steps to be taken. So, I just think we need to be cautious. We best just be cool and chill out a little bit."
