New Android Phones 2013: ZTE Annnounces Nubia Z5S And Z5S Mini In China, Pack Powerhouse Specs In An Affordable Package

ZTE has just announced two new Android phones for 2013 for the Chinese market - the Nubia Z5S and the Z5S Mini.

The first one, dubbed as the Nubia Z5S, boasts impressive specifications which can even match competitors from the highest price range in the industry today. It houses a 1080p Sharp IGZO display that offers stunning graphical quality, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, a 2.3Ghz Krait 400 CPU, and 2GB of RAM. 

In addition, the bigger Nubia sibling packs a 13MP primary camera capable of 4K video and slow-mo videos at 120fps, and a 5-megapixel shooter. It supports most connectivity options including LTE. 

Meanwhile, the smaller Nubia features the same specs save for the 1.7Ghz Krait 400 variant. It also has a 13MP camera though no optical image stabilization is on-board here. Still, it's an impressive piece of hardware that will surely get the attention of Android lovers. 

Both the ZTE Nubia Z5S as well as the Nubia Z5S Mini will arrive with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. 

The bigger ZTE phone will retail in China at around CNY1,999 ($328) and CNY3,456 ($567) for the 16GB 3G and 32GB LTE variants respectively.

On the other hand, its smaller sibling will be priced at about CNY1,499 ($246) and CNY2,345 ($348) for the 16GB 3G and 32GB LTE editions respectively.
