Upcoming Blackberry Phones Rumored For Release Next Year, One Featuring Full-Touch Display, The Other Reportedly Getting A QWERTY Keyboard

For the past couple of years, Blackberry has been the stubborn black sheep of the pack - obsessed in a state of denial that it is still doing well in the market. Unfortunately, what it hoped to be a turnaround year turned out to be the worst in its history. And not so many of us actually thought and hoped that there would be upcoming Blackberry phones to be launched next year.

But according to recent rumors, there would be.

In a report by TechnoBuffalo, the manufacturer is allegedly preparing to release two smartphones next year. According to Chinese tech site, CTech, the first Blackberry phone may hit the market during the third quarter of 2014.

Dubbed as the Z50, the phone allegedly comes with a 5.2" display with 1080p resolution, quad-core CPU, and an all-touch screen. Meanwhile, the second phone, called the Q30, may be launched sooner - within Q2 of next year.

Similar to the Q10, the Q30 is expected to have a QWERTY keyboard on-board.

Blackberry now has a new CEO who will be in-charge of this new endeavor to place Waterloo in the smartphone map once more. But as long as it doesn't recognize the limits and faults of its outdated OS, it may still be too late for the Canadian manufacturer.

While Blackberry has yet to confirm the two rumored phones, the alleged release periods would provide the manufacturer enough time to conceptualize and provide additional features which would revive the dying brand. Still, let us just take this rumor with a pinch of salt.
