Iron Man 4 Cast Rumors - Tony Stark Like James Bond To Be Played By Multiple Actors? Original ‘War Machine’ Blames Downey For His Ouster

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is everywhere these days, and another guy we want to see everywhere, anytime is Iron Man.

Despite being assured that Iron Man will be in "Avengers Age Of Ultron" all the way to Avengers 3, the public cannot await the continuation of the series (no longer a trilogy, then) which featured Tony Stark. It presents a curious predicament as Robert Downey Jr. is only signed for three Iron Man movies and three Avengers movies.

Kevin  Feige presented a solution, or more like his vision for Iron Man in Entertainment Weekly:

"I believe there will be a fourth 'Iron Man' and a fifth, sixth and a 10th and a 20th. I see no reason why Tony Stark can't be as evergreen as James Bond, Batman, or for that matter, Spider-Man."

Stay tuned for the eventual casting rumors and release dates, but it definitely will not be sooner than Avengers 3 since RDJ is still in there. Or will he just be shooting flashbacks? Or will there be time travel? This is based on comic books anyway.

It's a challenge to replace the iconic Downey but it won't be a first for Marvel (three different actors for the Hulk) or even the Iron Man franchise.

The original War Machine, Terrence Howard, spilled juicy information in gossip talk show "Watch What Happens Live" while promoting his new movie "Best Man Holiday". The transcript from Hitfix:

"This is gonna  get me in a lot of trouble. It turns out that the person that I helped become Iron Man, when it was time to re-up for the second one took the money that was supposed to go to me and pushed me out."

Yes, that's no other than Robert Downey Jr. he's talking about. He elaborates:

"We did a three picture deal. You did the deal ahead of time. A certain amount for the first one. For the second a certain amount. For the third...they came to me for the second one and said, 'We will pay you 1/8th of what we contractually had for you, because we think the second one will be successful with or without you.'  And I called my friend who I helped get the first job and he didn't call me back for three months."
And for the finale, the message to 'his friend' "Oh, I love him. God's gonna bless him."
