Monty Python Reunion Is Happening; Haven’t Been On Stage Together in 15 Years

Monty Python will reunite for a stage for the first time in 15 years. Terry Jones told the BBC that the five surviving members of the legendary comedy troupe Monty Python will reunite on stage. The troupe will perform as Monty Python. No argument about it

Monty Python's John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam and Michael Palin will share the stage with Terry Jones. They haven't done that since they did their silly walk at the Aspen Comedy Festival in 1998. Graham Chapman, who was the sixth member of the troup, died of cancer in 1989.

Monty Python are most famous for their British TV show "Monty Python's Flying Circus." Which every kid memorized. They went on to make stage shows, films, albums, books and the stage musical "Camelot." They each went on to fame and collectively they have been called The Beatles of comedy. Which makes the Not Ready for Time Prime Players the Rolling Stones of comedy. Nasty gits.

Terry Jones said "We're getting together and putting on a show - it's real. I'm quite excited about it. I hope it makes us a lot of money. I hope to be able to pay off my mortgage!"

Eric Idle to to Twitter to announce "Only three days to go till the Python Press Conference. Make sure Python fans are alerted to the big forthcoming news event. Python meeting this morning. Can't wait. Press Conference Thursday will apparently be live on Sky News. I'll get you the online URL."

But first Monty Python will reunite to give a press conference giving out more information. They will reunite for the press at at the Playhouse Theater in London's West End on Thursday in London. The first Monty Python reunion will be broadcast live on Sky News. The Playhouse Theater is where "Spamalot," runs. Terry Idle's "Spamalot" broke all kinds of records and wons dozens of awards. It was based on the film "Monty Python and the Holy Grail."
