Samsung Galaxy S4 Update: Official Android 4.3 Update Roll Out Halted By AT&T; T-Mobile Delays Giving Jelly Bean Upgrade To S4 Users

Samsung Galaxy S4 update: Android 4.3 began rolling out to S3 devices in Europe a few weeks ago and so far , problems and issues have arose post-installation of the new Jelly Bean OS for the device. It’s speculated that these concerns maybe the reason that AT&T stopped the Android 4.3 rollout it began last week for S4 users and T-Mobile delayed giving out the update.

Android Police reported that after hearing some reports, the site was able to confirm that AT&T has indeed pulled out the update while trying to resolve some issues. There is no word or date pegged for when it’ll be available again but the Android Police was told that the update was “on hold” in order for Samsung and AT&T could look into “potential improvements.”

In what the International Business Times described as a “strange turn of events,” Samsung Galaxy S3 owners in the T-Mobile network has begun receiving the Android 4.3 update. The roll out began a day after T-Mobile announced its availability for the Samsung Galaxy S4, which surprisingly did not get the Android 4.3 as of yet.

One of the key centerpiece feature that comes with the update is its ability to give selected Samsung handsets and tablets support for Samsung Galaxy Gear. The South Korean tech company has so far sold 800,000 of its flagship wearable device according to Reuters.

Samsung Galaxy S4 is the current flagship handset of Samsung and has been promised the update last September when the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Samsung Galaxy Gear was announced in Berlin.

The S4 was announced by Samsung last March has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM and a built-in storage of 16GB plus a microSD card slot that can handle up to 64GB. The 5-inch device has Super AMOLED display and a 13MP camera.

Samsung recently announced the blue version of the device which is exclusively available at Best Buy.
