Sony Xperia Z1 Mini specs, price, release date: The compact version of the Sony Xperia Z1 has been making news lately, especially since the Japanese version of the device - the Sony Z1f - was already announced and will soon be distributed by NTT DoCoMo.

A new leaked photo, as revealed by Phone Arena citing the Digi Wo and Xperia Guide as their source, shows a the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini showcasing itself in full view of the public (or the camera that got the snapshot). The Z1 Mini reveals its 4.3-inch size against the full-sized flagship Xperia Z1.

Earlier, the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini, which many speculates to arrive in international markets as the Sony Xperia Z1S, was listed “accidentally” on the SONY website. Another leaked image of the device was also floating around the web compliments of famous gadget leaker, EVLeaks.

What many cite as impressive with the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini is that the rumored specs of the device, except for battery life and obvious display, wasn’t decreased at all by Sony. Under the hood, it has a 2GB RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor similar to the Xperia Z1. The powerful 20.7-megapixel camera can also be found in this smaller version of the flagship.

Many have rumored November as the month of when the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini will be released but there has been no news whatsoever on this. Price for the device has also been known unknown, but looking at the difference of flagships and their “mini” counterparts, we expect that this could be $100-200 cheaper than the Sony Xperia Z1.
