Hull City will face off against rival Crystal Palace on Saturday, placing two of the English Premier League's closely followed teams against each other.
Hull City, coming out of a 4-1 loss to Southampton, is expected to be the underdog in the match.
Hull City Manager Steve Bruce said he wants to forget about his team's name change issue, according to ITV.com.
"I can understand [the unhappiness] because in our country especially we are really big traditionalists and a lot of people have supported the club since the year dot where it has been Hull City AFC," Bruce said, according to the website.
"But the owner has come in and he's in a different culture and for the money he has put into the club if he thinks Hull Tigers is his way forward then we have to respect it. But for all the great work they have done in saving the club and getting the club in the Premier League, the last thing you want is a distraction - it's hard enough."
Crystal Palace, coming out of a 0-0 tie with Everton, is expected to be the favorite in the match and is rumored to give Hull City a good game.
Crystal Palace Manager Keith Millen said he's happy to remain in caretaker charge of the team while they hire a new replacement, according to SkySports.com.
"I spoke to the chairman (Steve Parish) on Sunday. He asked me to organise this week's training and prepare for the Hull game on Saturday. That's as much as I know at the moment."
